2023 Pinot Noir
Grape Varietal— Pinot Noir
-
Deep ruby colour, displaying elegant and uplifting notes of red plum, bubblegum & wild cherry. This Pinot Noir shows a medium body with soft earthly & savoury notes. The blend of second and third-used French oak gives this wine beautiful notes of clove and vanilla beans.
"Krinklewood's inaugural pinot, made from biodynamic McLaren Vale grapes, is a joyous, light-bodied wine crammed with high-toned glacé cherry notes. It is a snappy, flavoursome, easy-drinking style with an alluring perfume and faint spice notes. Serve lightly chilled on a summer day alongside charcuterie." Toni Paterson - James Halliday, Wine Companion

The Pinot Noir fruit was harvested in the cool of the night and came into the winery in pristine condition. The fermentation underwent with a small percentage of whole bunches before being gently pressed. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation on the skins before being racked into oak barrels, where it matured for 7 months before final blending & bottling. It is a very engaging wine to enjoy now and will develop with further cellaring.
